It's time we had a chat

The way I didn’t really know how to start this blog, but I know I can be super honest with you guys because that’s why we created The Girlies That Love to. I’ve been staring at my laptop for the past hour so unsure on what to say, but I feel as though I need to start with an apology…

Last year we founded this community together, and oh my god was it amazing. To see us all coming together, and really confiding in one another, we were thriving. We hosted 5 amazing events together and I would like to say they we’re such a great success!

But then somewhere along the way my own personal life got in the way, which I feel as though I shouldn’t apologise for, but I do feel like I let you guys down. If you follow me on my personal socials, you would have seen that I’ve just made a big move from London to Brighton and just purchased my first house! Amongst the process, which I’ll have to fill you in on, it was so stressful, and everything was so up in the air. Then Christmas came along, and I split myself between three different locations, and by know you would have seen (hopefully hehe) that I launched my first ever business– another whirl wind to say the least, disaster after disaster... yet another chapter I’ll have to fill you in on. But I can’t complain, because we launched and I’m so super proud of it!

So, point blank… life got in the way!

Therefore, I feel as though I’ve really neglected this space and I’m so sorry in doing so, but equally I think this is such a reflection of your 20s, because life really does just GET IN THE WAY, and you may neglect friends and lose yourself a little whilst you’re finding your feet again but that IS SO FINE!

So, I’m here to say we are back, and we are back in action with so many fun things planned for this summer, I’m hoping you’ll take me back. Please say ‘I do’. Who ever said it was a ‘brat summer’, I think its been a ‘girlies that love to summer’ all along.

But to re-introduce myself and the community. Hi, my name is Imogen Cribb, I’m a recently turned 23-year-old with a million aspirations trying to make then all happen at once. Who has just purchased her first home but don’t be fooled I have three pieces of furniture, who has just launched her first business with her bestie in April, going about her day as a full-time content creator, really just tryna’ navigate everything her 20s is throwing at her and understand her tax bill with all the super adulty bits in between. The Girlies That Love To was created for girls in their 20s who wanted to connect with other girls navigating the same journey as them and make friends in their area codes during the process, but most importantly, to step out of their comfort zones and make meaningful friendships. Girlhood as much as it’s this amazing, beautiful, important thing to be a part of, it’s hard. And it’s hard to take it further than a passing comment about a girls cute outfit in the girls’ bathroom. So we are here to bridge that and create environments that will allow you to make friends and feel a part of a community. In a world that can be so lonely, choose not to be, and choose to be a part of The Girlies That Love to!

So we can’t wait to see you again or meet you, this summer is gonna be the best yet!
